Foreign Object at The Grasp Paul During Teens

The Beatles Weirdness
The Beatles Weirdness

I will discuss about the object that is held by Paul McCartney when he photographs along with John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo, he was holding a small object such as a camera, to be precise camera antiquityA lot of weirdness that is implied from the photograph above:

  1. Foreign objects held by Paul.
  2. Clothes or more often called a coat, paul wearing a gray coat, unlike John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo is wearing a black coat.
  3. Then the objects are also carried by paul, looks like a purse.
I only saw 3 weirdness. Maybe you want to add another oddity that may not be implied in my mind. I am the one of Fans The Beatles, Thanks.

School Board Shooting The Beatles

Pearl Harbor 7 Dec With The Beatles
Pearl Harbor and The Beatles
The attack on Pearl Harbor (called the Hawaii Operation or Operation Z by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters, and the Battle of Pearl Harbor by some Americans)was a surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the morning of December 7, 1941.

The next day the United States declared war on Japan resulting in their entry into World War II. The attack was intended as a preventive action in order to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from influencing the war that the Empire of Japan was planning in Southeast Asia, against Britain and the Netherlands, as well as the U.S. in the Philippines. The base was attacked by Japanese aircraft (a total of 353, in two waves) launched from six aircraft carriers.

It's same with The Beatles at 7 december :

The following Parlophone-only released UK EPs were considered official at the time of their release and were re-issued on 7 December 1981 on vinyl and 26 May 1992 on CD in the EP Collection boxed-sets but have since been deleted from the current Beatles catalogue. All of the songs from the EPs are now available on various CD releases. Only two of the EPs contained songs that were not also featured on their albums or singles: the Long Tall Sally EP, whose tracks can now be found on the Past Masters CD, and the Magical Mystery Tour EP, whose tracks are on the Magical Mystery Tour CD album.

The Parlophone-only released EPs were re-released on 7 December 1981 as part of a 15-disc EP boxed-set called The Beatles EP Collection, which included all 13 British EPs, both mono and stereo editions of Magical Mystery Tour, and also an EP of four stereo mixes, new to the UK. This rarities EP, called The Beatles EP, contains the following four tracks: "The Inner Light", "Baby, You're a Rich Man", "She's a Woman" and "This Boy". The EP Collection was re-released on 26 May 1992 on compact disc. Magical Mystery Tour peak chart positions were originally listed in the singles chart, not the EP chart.

Stars Play Beatles Songs Sir Paul McCartney

Acts including No Doubt and Dave Grohl played Beatles songs at a US gala on Sunday to celebrate Sir Paul McCartney and other winners of a cultural award.

Sir Paul had earlier received a Kennedy Center honour along with Oprah Winfrey, choreographer Bill T Jones, composer Jerry Herman and singer Merle Haggard.

Receiving his medallion at a White House dinner on Saturday, Sir Paul said "great things just come in bundles".

The ex-Beatle was at the US President's home in June to receive another award.

"I am a big fan of this president, and I think he's a great man who's got some difficulties," Sir Paul said at Saturday's event, hosted by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

"I'm very honoured to be with him and his family, and I'm also a big fan of Hillary's too."

Sunday night's concert, held at Washington arts venue the Kennedy Center, was filmed by US network CBS for broadcast later this month.

Gwen Stefani, dressed in a Beatles-style suit, sang The Fab Four classic Hello, Goodbye at the event with her band No Doubt.

They were followed by Grohl and Norah Jones' performance of Sir Paul's solo track Maybe I'm Amazed.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler sang a medley of songs from the Beatles' 1969 album Abbey Road.

Singer-songwriter James Taylor and gospel vocalist Mavis Staples then closed the show with Let It Be and Hey Jude, bringing Sir Paul and President Obama to their feet.

Earlier in the show, Julia Roberts, Barbara Walters and John Travolta took to the stage to pay tribute to US talk show host Winfrey.

Roberts said: "It's a universal conversation starter - 'Did you see what was on Oprah today?'

"The first time I heard of a better-fitting bra or a fascinating politician named Barack Obama was on The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Elsewhere Angela Lansbury and Kelsey Grammer performed songs written by Jerry Herman for such shows as Hello, Dolly! and La Cage aux Folles.

Sunday night's concert was proceeded by a White House reception for the honourees where Mr Obama said they were being recognised not just for being "great lyricists or songwriters or dancers or entertainers".

"They're being honoured for their unique ability to bring us closer together and to capture something larger about who we are."

Sir Paul, he continued, had become "something of a regular here in the White House" after accepting the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song earlier this year.

He said that when Sir Paul had sung the Beatles song Michelle to his wife earlier in the year, it had been "the thrill of a lifetime" for the First Lady.

Misterclaudel is a modern Japanese Label, releasing its first discs in 2003. Its also goes on the pseudonyms Piccadilly Circus and WWII amongst others. This label offers a comprehensive live collection of Beatles historic concerts, as well as a scattering of studio sessions and other recordings...

This 2CD set brings together (not for the first time) most of the early recordings of the early Beatles (Quarrymen / Beatals) from 1957-1960. These recordings are very important historically, but are not the best in terms of sound quality - but listening to John, Paul and George jamming over 50 years ago does have an exciting edge to it. In some of these sessions they play some songs that would later be re-worked for Beatles releases, such as Ill Follow The Sun which is probably the highlight of this set.
There is nothing new here really, this release is almost identical to the Purple Chick release Strong Before Our Birth, and does not in my opinion offer a significant upgrade in sound quality to previous sets of these recordings - but as ever Miserclaudel offers a superbly presented set, with excellent quality artwork and all round presentation.

The Beatles Licensed Norwegian Wood

The Beatles Licensed Norwegian Wood
The Beatles
Cool news today for Fans The Beatles and Japanese author Haruki Murakami. I didn't even know this was happening, but Vietnamese director Tran Anh Hung is apparently hard at work prepping his adaptation of Murakami's novel "Norwegian Wood" for a December release in Japan. Fittingly, Hung insisted that The Beatles' "Norwegian Wood" be licensed for use in the film; the music of the Fab Four can be rather expensive to get usage rights for, and it doesn't happen very often.

The Beatles Licensed Norwegian Wood
The Beatles

It seems like the news has been out there for awhile (I hadn't heard), but I'm most intrigued by the idea of Murakami being adapted for the big screen. He's a wonderful author, someone you should take the time to at least try on if you've never read his work. "Norwegian Wood" is as good a place to start as any. Unlike a lot of artistic endeavors that come out of Japan, Murakami is uniquely tuned in to Western sensibilities. His work has a sort of all-cultural appeal and is definitely worth your time. I'll be very curious to see Hung's film treatment.

Band Indonesia Inspired The Beatles

Tielman Brothers Indonesia Inspired The Beatles
The Tielman Brothers
Turn out! Pioneer of Rock and Roll music is the Band Indonesia! This band that had inspired The Beatles! This band came before periods of Rock and Roll ... and the band is Indonesian People! Yet long before The Beatles were famous, at a small bar in germany tielman brothers have been 'push' in the German television station, should be noted that historical Paul McCartney often went to show Indorock bands in germany and he is inspired to band music indorock.

There are some very striking facts from this band. Long before rock fascinated the public and clucking mad game amazed by guitarist Jimi Hendrix in 1967, one of the personnel TheTielman Brothers, Andy Tielman, the frontman has started this technique in 1956 or 11 years before Jimi Hendrix experimented with the guitar. Andy and his guitar style is very fascinating technique. Guitar learned to use my teeth, feet, far ahead of Jimi Hendrix.
Tielman Brothers Indonesia Inspired The Beatles
The Tielman Brothers

It is said that Paul McCartney was admired this band and inspired Tielman Brothers before the Beatles were popular in the early 1960s. It's known, has brought the Tielman Brothers songs of rock n 'roll long before The Beatles appeared. When the Beatles first gig in Germany, this British band had seen the appearance of The Tielmans Brothers gig using the Hofner Violin bass. And that's when for the first time Paul saw Hofner Violin Bass. Andy Tielmans the guitarist wearing Fender Jazz Special Master 10 strings. Fender intentionally send his representative to Germany was to design a guitar for Andy Tielmans.

With a tropical culture and love of the guitar, they gave birth Indorock characterized by the dominance of the guitar are combined with Hawaiian music, country, and Rock n Roll. The stage where they play is always filled with spectacular acts of his era: play the guitar with the winding style ala 80's Heavy Metal, Punk-style wild stage act, playing the drums while standing in the style of Metallica's Lars Ulrich, and mbetot bass under a la Korn.

Long before Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore or popularize the attraction to play guitar with his teeth, behind the head or behind the body, Andy Tielman has introduced this legendary acrobatic action since 1957 with Tielman Brothers. Andy's dedication and innovation that is very influential to the development of dutch pop culture brings the title The Godfather of the Dutch Rock & Roll, The Uncrowned King of Indorock, and award the Order of Orange-Nassau in his lap.

Beatlemania in Indonesia

Beatlemania in Indonesia
Beatlemania in Indonesia
Beatlemania is a term that originated during the 1960s to describe the intense fan frenzy directed toward The Beatles during the early years of their success. The word is a portmanteau of "Beatles" and "mania".

Andi Lothian, a former Scottish music promoter, claims that he coined the term while speaking to a reporter at the Caird Hall Beatles concert that took place as part of The Beatles Mini-Tour of Scotland, on 7 October 1963, and an early printed use of the word is in The Daily Mirror 2 November 1963 in a news story about the previous day's Beatles concert in Cheltenham.

Many fans across the world were known to have Beatlemania, which became common in the United States after The Beatles performed on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. 'Beatlemania' was characterised by intense levels of hysteria demonstrated by fans both at the actual concerts played by the band and during the band's arrivals and travels to and from locations.

While in Indonesia, Beatlemania already covers millions of people, ranging from children, teens, to adults who know in advance about the beatles. Many groups emerged in the social networking site like facebook or blogs that behalf that he was Beatlemania. Like this Fans The Beatles Facebook

History Twist and Shout with Lyrics

"Twist and Shout" is a song written by Phil Medley and Bert Russell. It was originally recorded by the Top Notes and then covered by The Isley Brothers. It was covered by The Beatles with John Lennon on the lead vocals and originally released on their first album Please Please Me. The song was covered by The Mamas and the Papas (in the style of a ballad) in 1967 on their album Deliver, and on a film soundtrack by Cliff Richard.

It was also covered by The Tremeloes. Most recently Chaka Demus and Pliers (featuring Jack Radics and Taxi Gang) reached #1 on the UK charts with their version in January 1994. The Who performed it throughout their career, most notably on Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970 and 1982's Who's Last. There are great similarities between the song Twist and Shout and the song La Bamba recorded in 1958 by the American singer Ritchie Valens.

Here lyrics "Twist and Shout" :

Well, shake it up, baby, now, (shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout. (twist and shout)
Cmon cmon, cmon, cmon, baby, now, (come on baby)

History There is a Place with Lyrics

"There's a Place" is a song composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and was first released as a track on The Beatles' UK debut LP, Please Please Me. Lennon and McCartney share the main vocal with George Harrison singing back-up vocal.

The title was Inspired by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen's Somwhere from West Side Story, which contained the line: "somewhere there's a place for us". McCartney owned the album of the soundtrack at the time of writing "There's a Place" and acknowledges its influence.

The "place" in question was "the mind", making its subject matter slightly more cerebral than Britain's kissing and cuddling songs and America's surf music from that period. Lennon is quoted as saying: "'There's a Place' was my attempt at a sort of Motown, black thing. "It says the usual Lennon things: 'In my mind there's no sorrow...' It's all in your mind."

Composed at McCartney's Forthlin Road home, it was part of the group's stage repertoire in 1963. With its major seventh harmonica intro (later reprised) and searing two-part vocal harmonies in fifths (Lennon low, McCartney high), it stands out as an early The Beatles milestone track. The song was recorded on 11 February 1963 in ten takes during the first of three sessions for Please Please Me.

Here lyrics There's a Place

There is a place,
Where I can go,
When I feel low,
When I feel blue.
And it's my mind,
And there's no time when I'm alone.

I think of you,
And things you do,
Go 'round my head,
The things you said,
Like "I love only you."

In my mind there's no sorrow,
Don't you know that it's so.
There'll be no sad tomorrow,
Don't you know that it's so.

There is a place,
Where I can go,
When I feel low,
When I feel blue.
And it's my mind,
And there's no time when I'm alone.

There's a place...

History A Taste Of Honey

"A Taste of Honey" is a pop standard written by Bobby Scott and Ric Marlow. It was originally an instrumental track (or recurring theme) written for the 1960 Broadway version of the 1958 British play A Taste of Honey (which was also made into a film with the same name in 1961). Both the original and a cover by Herb Alpert in 1965 earned the song Grammy Awards. A vocal version of the song, first recorded by Lenny Welch, became popular when it was recorded by The Beatles 1963. Fans The Beatles very loved it

A taste of honey....
Tasting much sweeter than wine.

I dream of your first kiss, and then,
I feel upon my lips again,
A taste of honey....
Tasting much sweeter than wine.

I will return, yes I will return,
I'll come back for the honey and you.

Yours was the kiss that awoke my heart,
There lingers still, 'though we're far apart,
That taste of honey....
Tasting much sweeter than wine.

I will return, yes I will return,
I'll come back (he'll come back) for the honey (for the honey) and you.

History Do You Want to Know a Secret

"Do You Want to Know a Secret" is a song by The Beatles from the 1963 album Please Please Me, song by George Harrison. In the United States, it was the first top ten song to feature Harrison as a lead singer.

In 1980, Lennon said that he gave "Do You Want to Know a Secret" to Harrison to sing because "it only had three notes and he wasn't the best singer in the world," but added "he has improved a lot since then. "Harrison sang two songs on Please Please Me, this song by Lennon and McCartney and "Chains" by Goffin/King. The Beatles did not record a song composed solely by Harrison until "Don't Bother Me" on With The Beatles. The song was recorded during a ten-hour session on 11 February 1963 along with nine other songs for Please Please Me. The song is a playable song in the music video games The Beatles: Rock Band.

Here Lyrics "Do You Want to Know a Secret" :

You'll never know how much I really love you.
You'll never know how much I really care.

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell?, whoa oh, oh.

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell?, whoa oh, oh.

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.

I've known the secret for a week or two,
Nobody knows, just we two.

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell?, whoa oh, oh.

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.

History Baby Its You With Lyrics

The Beatles performed "Baby It's You" as part of their stage act from 1961 until 1963. They recorded it on 11 February 1963 for their album Please Please Me along with "Boys", another song by the Shirelles. American label Vee Jay Records included it on Introducing The Beatles, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles. Capitol included it on The Early Beatles.

"Baby It's You" is a song written by Burt Bacharach (music), and Luther Dixon (credited as Barney Williams) and Hal David (lyrics). It was recorded by The Shirelles and The Beatles, both of whom had hits with the song. The highest-charting version of "Baby It's You" was by the band Smith, who took the song to number five on the US charts in 1969.

The Beatles released a live version on Live at the BBC in 1994. The song was issued as a CD single and a vinyl single in 1995 in both the UK and the US, their first in nearly a decade. Both versions have four tracks, making it an EP instead of a regular issue single. It reached number seven in the UK and number sixty-seven on the Billboard Hot 100.

1995 release track listing

1. "Baby It's You" (Bacharach/David/Williams)
2. "I'll Follow the Sun" (Lennon/McCartney)
3. "Devil in Her Heart" (Drapkin)
4. "Boys" (Dixon/Farrell)

Here Lyrics "Baby It's You" by "The Beatles" :

Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la

It's not the way you smile that touched my heart. (sha la la la la)
It's not the way you kiss that tears me apart.

Uh, oh, many, many, many nights go by,
I sit alone at home and I cry over you.
What can I do.
Can't help myself, 'cause baby, it's you.
Baby, it's you.

You should hear what they say about you, "cheat," "cheat."
They say, they say you never never never ever been true. (cheat cheat)

Uh oh,
It doesn't matter what they say,
I know I'm gonna love you any old way.
What can I do, when it's true.
Don't want nobody, nobody, 'cause baby, it's you. (sha la la la la la la)
Baby, it's you. (sha la la la la la la)

Uh oh,
It doesn't matter what they say,
I know I'm gonna love you any old way.
What can I do, when it's true.
Don't want nobody, nobody, 'cause baby, it's you. (sha la la la la la la)
Baby, it's you. (sha la la la la la la)
Don't leave me all alone...
Come on home...

History Please Please Me With Lyrics

"Please Please Me" is the second single released by the The Beatles in the UK, and the first to be issued in the US. It was also the title track of their first LP, which was recorded to capitalise on the success of the single. It was originally a John Lennon composition, although its ultimate form was significantly influenced by George Martin.

On 22 February 1963 the song reached number one on the singles charts compiled by the New Musical Express (the most recognised chart at the time) and the Melody Maker, but it only reached number two on the Record Retailer chart, which subsequently evolved into the UK Singles Chart and is the most widely quoted today.

The single, as initially released with "Ask Me Why" on the B-side, failed to make much impact in the US, but when re-released there on 3 January 1964 (this time with "From Me to You" on the B-side) it reached number three in the US Hot 100.

Here "Please-Please Me Lyrics" :

Last night I said these words to my girl,
I know you never even try girl,
C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon)
Please please me, whoa yeah, like I please you

You don't need me to show the way, love
Why do I always have to say "love?"
C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon)
Please please me, whoa yeah, like I please you

I don't wanna sound complaining,
But you know there's always rain in my heart (in my heart).
I do all the pleasing with you it's so hard to reason
With you, whoa yeah, why do you make me blue?

Last night I said these words to my girl,
I know you never even try girl,
C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon) C'mon (C'mon)
Please please me, whoa yeah, like I please you

History PS I love You with Lyrics

"P.S. I Love You" is a song composed principally by Paul McCartney, recorded by the The Beatles and released on 5 October 1962 as the B-side of their "Love Me Do" single. It is included on their 1963 album Please Please Me. It was later included on the Beatles compilation Love Songs.

The version featured on the single and album was recorded in ten takes on 11 September 1962 at Abbey Road Studios, London. Producer George Martin had booked session drummer Andy White as a replacement for Pete Best, whom he considered not technically good enough for recording purposes (Martin was unaware that Best had been fired and replaced by Ringo Starr who plays maracas on this song). White was a freelance showband and session drummer, and gave the recording a lightweight cha cha treatment.

The Beatles (with Starr playing drums) also recorded this song at the BBC on 25 October 1962, 27 November 1962, and 17 June 1963 for subsequent broadcast on the BBC radio programs Here We Go, Talent Spot, and Pop Go The Beatles, respectively.

Here lyrics "P.S. I Love You" :

As I write this letter,
Send my love to you,
Remember that I'll always,
Be in love with you.

Treasure these few words 'til we're together,
Keep all my love forever,
P.S., I love you.
You, you, you.

I'll be coming home again to you, love,
And 'til the day I do, love,
P.S., I love you.
You, you, you.

As I write this letter,
Send my love to you,
Remember that I'll always,
Be in love with you.

Treasure these few words 'til we're together,
Keep all my love forever,
P.S., I love you.
You, you, you.

As I write this letter, (Oh oh oh)
Send my love to you, (You know I want you to)
Remember that I'll always, (Yeah)
Be in love with you.

I'll be coming home again to you, love,
And 'til the day I do, love,
P.S., I love you.
You, you, you.
You, you, you.
I love you.

History Love Me Do with Lyrics

"Love Me Do" is an early Lennon/McCartney song, principally written by Paul McCartney in 1958–59 while playing truant from school. John Lennon wrote the middle eight. The song was The Beatles' first single, backed by P.S. I Love You and released on 5 October 1962. When the single was originally released in the UK, it peaked at number seventeen; in 1982 it was re-issued and reached number four. In the U.S. the single was a number one hit in 1964.

"Love Me Do" begins with bluesy harmonica played by Lennon, then features Lennon and McCartney on joint lead vocals. McCartney sings the solo vocal line on the song's title phrase and also its middle eight. Lennon had previously sung the title sections, but this change in arrangement was made in the studio under the direction of producer George Martin when he realised that the harmonica part encroached on the vocal (Lennon needed to begin playing the harmonica again on the same beat as the "do" of "love me do").

This is illustrative of the live characteristics of this particular session - as, when a similar situation later occurred on the Please Please Me single session, the harmonica was superimposed afterwards using tape-to-tape overdubbing.

Here Lyrics "Love Me Do" :

Love, love me do,You know I love you,
I'll always be true, So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Love, love me do, You know I love you,
I'll always be true, So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Someone to love,
Somebody new.
Someone to love,
Someone like you.

Love, love me do, You know I love you,
I'll always be true, So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Love, love me do, You know I love you,
I'll always be true, So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do, Yeah, love me do.
Whoa, oh, love me do.

History Ask Me Why with Lyrics

This time I once again wrote a post about songs on the album "please-please me". I hope you all do not get bored with my posts. I just share it to you all.

Ok, "Ask Me Why" is a song by The Beatles originally released in the United Kingdom as the B-side of their hit single "Please Please Me". It was also included on their first UK album, Please Please Me.

"Ask Me Why" was originally recorded at Abbey Road studios on 6 June 1962 with an unknown number of takes as part of The Beatles' EMI audition. The two quarter-inch tape reels from that session were later destroyed by EMI.

Here "Ask Me Why" Lyrics :

I love you, 'cause you tell me things I want to know.
And it's true that it really only goes to show,
That I know,
That I, I, I, I should never, never, never be blue.

Now you're mine, my happiness still makes me cry.
And in time, you'll understand the reason why,
If I cry,
It's not because I'm sad, but you're the only love that I've ever had.

I can't believe it's happened to me
I can't conceive of any more misery.

Ask me why, I'll say I love you,
And I'm always thinking of you.

I love you, 'cause you tell me things I want to know.
And it's true that it really only goes to show,
That I know,
That I, I, I, I should never, never, never be blue.

Ask me why, I'll say I love you,
And I'm always thinking of you.

I can't believe it's happened to me.
I can't conceive of any more misery.

Ask me why, I'll say I love you,
And I'm always thinking of you.
